Dominican Today is the first and only English-language newspaper in the Dominican Republic based out of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Spanish is the main language in the Dominican Republic. This newspaper was released on March 23, 2005 and is owned by Portal Alta Technologia also known as PATRD and was founded by Avishai who is a native of Israel who also created the Dominican web-design company Merit Designs. Since the publishing of the website, they have gotten to 500,000 web views a month and more than 1,500,000 page views.
